Russell Prescott Calls on Rep. Chris Pappas to Return Funds from Vocal Anti-Israel Squad Legislator

Exeter, NH - Rep. Chris Pappas was recently listed among a group of Democrats who have accepted a significant amount of money from anti-Israel Members of Congress. In particular, Rep. Pramila Jayapal of Washington.

Jayapal voted “present” on a bipartisan House resolution declaring support for Israel and condemnation of Hamas’ terrorist attacks that killed more than 1,000 civilians, including 30 American citizens. She has criticized President Joe Biden’s strong support for Israel and believes it will cause him to lose support from Muslim voters. Jayapal previously called Israel a “racist state” at a progressive conference before walking the comments back due to widespread condemnation.

According to the Daily Caller, Democratic New Hampshire Rep. Chris Pappas received $8,000 over five donations from Build Our Movement PAC.

In response, Russell Prescott is calling on Rep. Chris Pappas to apologize and return or donate the funds to an appropriate charity.

Prescott said, “Rep. Jayapal’s comments and voting record are both concerning and abhorrent for a Member of Congress. Now more than ever, we need legislators in Washington who will stand up for what is right. Granite Staters deserve to know why Chris Pappas either accepted or sought out contributions from a Member of Congress with such extreme views. They also deserve an apology and acknowledgment that the funds have been returned or donated to an appropriate charity immediately.”
